Per a report from The Daily Cougar's James Mueller, No. 3 Houston defeated No. 7 Duke 61-50 in a "secret" (but really not-so-secret) scrimmage on Saturday.
The Blue Devils were without two of their top rated freshman: Dereck Lively II and Dariq Whitehead who are both combatting injuries. The first half was a normal 20 minute half per Mueller, but the second half was shortened to just 12 minutes.
Duke will officially be in action for their first exhibition against Fayetteville State on Wednesday Nov. 2 in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
