The No. 9 Duke women's basketball team faces its highest ranked opponent left on its schedule on Thursday as it travels to No. 11 Virginia Tech. The two teams met on Jan. 26 in Durham, resulting in an 11-point win for Duke.

The Blue Devils are on a four game winning streak as they sit at the top of the ACC standings and in line for a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The last time the two teams met, Duke did a great job containing reigning ACC Player of the Year Elizabeth Kitley. It was the defensive job on Kitley that ultimately led Duke to victory, and if the Blue Devils want to get the season sweep on Virginia Tech, they will have to contain Kitley once again.

Duke allowed just 33.5 PPG last week in its two games against Boston College and Miami, a remarkable accomplishment. If the Blue Devils can take that same defensive intensity, then they can get the win in Blacksburg.
