Class of 2025

*Holds offer from Duke*

Cameron Boozer may be the most sought after high school prospect in the nation, and he is just a sophomore. Already 6'9', the son of former Blue Devil All-American, National Champion, and 2x NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, Cameron is turning heads with his versatility at his size and dominance at his age.

His twin brother, Cayden, is a top-25 prospect in the class of 2025 as well. The two twins are fraternal, of course, a point which is quite apparent once you see the two next to each other. Cameron is 6'9', and Cayden is 6'3'. Although different in height, the two might just prove to be the most critical "package deal" for Duke in years.

The class of 2025 is one many Duke fans hope will deliver big names to Durham, and the Boozer twins are two of those big names. With recent news breaking that the NBA does not intend to lower the age requirement to enter the NBA Draft, it seems as though the class of 2025 will have to take the college or G-League route. Duke is recruiting the top two players in the class of 2025: Cameron Boozer and Cooper Flagg, whom I have already completed a prospect evaluation for.

With that small blurb of context out of the way, I have gone through and found the best videos of Boozer's game on the internet I could find. Here's my breakdown:

Boozer is just too physically imposing for other players his age right now. Once he catches it down low, he has a mature move set that allow him to score in a variety of ways. Athletically, he can score right over you, but he has the skill to take defenders off the bounce within the arc.

He has a long stride and can really run the floor. And perhaps one of the most notable parts of the big-man's game is his ever-expanding three point shooting ability. In today's game, most elite bigs have the ability to shoot from three, at least somewhat. But Boozer can really shoot it. He has a fluid shot and his mechanics are solid.

Do yourself a favor and head to the 1:01 mark in the first video, a 15-year-old 6'9' forward bringing the ball up the court with great ball control, driving, and then easily getting his own miss with great lateral quickness and scoring. It may seem like a normal basketball play, but this play shows the parts of Boozer's game that are beaming with potential. Athleticism, ball-handling, maturity, quickness. All at just 15.

I think it's always a good idea to watch tape from a prospect in which they are playing the other top players in the class. Boozer and Flagg have gone head-to-head and both shined in their own way. Boozer was an above the rim scorer in this matchup, but lately he is branching out to the perimeter as his jumper improves. Flagg is a great shooter and distributor. Pairing these two young stars is the goal of Jon Scheyer and his staff for the class of 2025.

You have to think Duke already has a shoe in the door with such an early offer to both Cameron and Cayden, not to mention where their father went...

It's early in the recruiting process, and the main focus for Duke is on the class of 2024 at the moment (seeing as the class of 2023 appears sign, sealed, and delivered), but Boozer and the class of 2025 are coming quick, and man are they talented.
