The son of former 5x NBA Champion Ron Harper and brother of current Toronto Raptor, Ron Harper Jr., Dylan is one of the quickest rising prospects in high school basketball. Now ranked as highly as the No. 2 prospect in the class of 2024 by On3, Harper is a skilled combo guard. Harper visited Duke for Countdown to Craziness in late October, and since then his 247sports crystal ball projection has been 100% to Duke. The Blue Devil's coaching staff was all in at a recent game in which Harper was matched up with 2023 Duke commit Jared McCain. Harper seems to be Duke's number one priority in the class of 2024, and for good reason. Without further ado, here's some good clips showcasing his game and my breakdown:

Here's some film from Harper's matchup with McCain. He is crafty and aggressive on drives. He finishes well at the rim and can do so through contact. In this matchup he showed how difficult he can be to stop when he gets downhill.

I always like to include at least one clip of players going against quality opponents, and this way you get a look at confirmed future Blue Devil in McCain as well.

He has a quick midrange pull-up shot and possesses the ability to hit shots with defenders draped all over him. NBA level shot making poise on mid range pull-ups. Again, he does well getting downhill and finishing around and through defenders in the paint.

This is a young, tough, and talented young guard. Right now, he is Duke's top recruiting priority, and I would expect a decision sooner rather than later.
