Kara Lawson just received her third top-30 commitment for the class of 2023. Oluchi Okananwa announced her commitment to Duke on Twitter while Lawson was leading Duke to their second win of the season in a 111-50 rout of Charleston Southern.
Okananwa is ranked as the 27th best player in the class of 2023 according to the ESPNW 100. The 5'9 guard from Worcester, Mass. attends Worcester Academy, the same high school as TJ Power who is committed to the Duke men's basketball team for the class of 2023 as well. In Duke's 2023 class, she joins 5-star Jadyn Donovan, the 3rd ranked player in the ESPNW 100, and recent commit Delaney Thomas, ranked 29th.
Kara Lawson is having quite the successful run on the recruiting trail as of late.
