After suffering its second loss in the early season, Duke dropped nine spots in this week's AP Poll. The Blue Devils, now ranked 17th, lost to then ranked No. 24 Purdue by nearly 20 points on Sunday. The Boilermakers jumped to No. 5 this week after defeating both Duke and Gonzaga.

There was a lot of movement in the AP poll this week. There is a new number one, Houston ascends to the top spot for the first time in nearly four decades. Texas and Virginia round out the top three. Arizona and Purdue saw major jumps into the top five.

Kansas, who beat Duke on Nov. 15 is now ranked 9th. UNC, who lost twice last week to now ranked 23rd Iowa State and 11th Alabama, dropped all the way to No. 18—one spot below Duke.

Duke's Wedsnesday matchup with Ohio State will be a ranked affair as the Buckeyes entered the top-25 at No. 25 this week.
