The Duke men's basketball team rose to No. 12 in this week's AP Poll, that's three spots higher than last week. The rise comes after two wins over Iowa and Maryland Eastern Shore.
Duke's second loss of the season came to the now No. 1 ranked Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue ascended to No. 1 following Houston's loss to Alabama last week.
Virginia moved into the No. 2 spot, and Virginia Tech and Miami each entered the poll for the first time this season at No. 24 and No. 25. The four ACC teams in the top-25 is the most so far this season.
Duke does not play this week, so they will be at the mercy of the rest of the teams' games for its ranking next week.
